Red Cedar Wood lined Cocktail Shaker

$77.99

This is a 16 ounce cocktail stainless steel inside, wood outside, cocktail shaker.

A friend of mine was doing some architectural rehab work for a client of his and had a couple large chunks of incredibly figured red cedar left over. This is one of the pieces I pulled from those chunks. There is just so much going on in this wood that the pictures don’t really do it justice. In some ways it reminds me of a Guinness building (but this just doesn’t settle down like the beer). I gave it a somewhat classic cocktail shaker styling because there really wasn’t anything more that needed to be done to get this beauty built.

While mixing cocktails with this shaker, your hand should not get icy cold like the beverage you want to consume. Wood is heat resistant so only the top and cap will get cold. (The top and cap will need to be held or your beverage will go everywhere while shaking...just a warning from experience.)

The interior is a 16 oz stainless steel liner. The lines on the cap are supposed to be for measuring (I’ve never used that. yet). The slip fit top has a build in strainer. It is nearly 10 inches tall, and it is about 4 inches in diameter.

I finished this with tung oil, lacquer, and enamel. Wash by hand, not in the dishwasher (or in a 3 dip tank).

Ships via USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate.
