Plywood trinket box with lid

$65.00

I don’t like wasting wood —even plywood. So I’ve made this bandsaw box from some plywood that wasn’t big enough to make anything else out of. I laminated a much of the scraps in my shop and then out popped this box. (Yeah, I sometimes don’t know what I’ll come up with until I have the wood in my hands in some raw state…I kind of like that. It’s the antithesis of my day job where everything is planned to nth degree)
With the lid on, the seam almost completely disappears, which I kind of impressed myself with.
I chose the gold handle for the top of the lid because it somehow looked ancient Egyptian while being modern at the same time. The box makes me smile when I look at it and hope you find a good use for storing stuff in —and then it brings a smile to your face too.

The box is 7.5inches long, 4.5inches wide, 6.5 tall (to top of handle). The interior is 6.5 inches wide, 3.75 inches wide, and 3inches deep. The exterior is finished with several coats of lacquer.
