Large double chamber pencil holder made from Cedar
This pencil cup is made from a chunk of cedar that had cracked in such a way that I could not turn a bowl or a beverage container. As the chunk was well over 8 inches square, I made a kitchen caddy out of part of it, and this pencil cup from the inside of that caddy. This is that pencil cup. I like being able to feature the crack / check in the wood as a design element. There is zero way I could have created a crack like that by myself.
Each side of the pencil caddy is about 2.5 inches square. This will hold a number of pencils, pens, scissors, or other items that may be cluttering your desktop and you need on a daily basis.
Finished with tung oil and an enamel topcoat.
Approximately 6.25inches long by 3.75 inches wide by 3.5 inches deep.
This is for the desktop caddy only. All items in the holder are for display purposes only.
