Pizza cutter with a hand-turned maple wood handle. The wood comes from a rock maple that was being trimmed here in my neighborhood. There didn’t appear to be much going on in the grain, until I hit the handle with linseed oil. Then there were a bunch of nuanced changes that popped up. I love it when I get surprised when the first layer of my finishing process shows something I hadn’t expected. This is why I enjoy making things..no two things will ever be identical and each can be functional while being pretty too.
The Handle is approximately 6 inches long. The heavy-duty chrome plated stainless steel pizza cutter blade is 4 inches across and unscrews from the handle for easy cleaning. This does come with a silicone blade cover. The blade is very sharp. It will cut all levels of pizza, focaccia, lasagna, and thick sheet breads.
For cleaning, the handle should be wiped with a damp cloth. The blade is dishwasher-safe.
