Pizza cutter with a hand-turned SpectraPly wood handle. This is a unique wood product that I’ve found that I not only love turning, love seeing people’s reactions to the pieces. I want to say that my vendor calls this pattern “Scull and Crossbones,” which I get. I like to think of this more in the Addams Family schema. When I’m making handles from this pattern of wood, I tend to think it’s got the personality of one of the Addams family— and in particular, from which iteration of that series (comic, tv-old, tv-newer, movie series 1, new cartoon, etc.) The wood is very durable (not dishwasher durable), and very brightly colored. Each ply is laminated with epoxy.
The Handle is approximately 6 inches long. The heavy-duty chrome plated stainless steel pizza cutter blade is 4 inches across and unscrews from the handle for easy cleaning. This does come with a silicone blade cover. The blade is very sharp. It will cut all levels of pizza, focaccia, lasagna, and thick sheet breads.
For cleaning, the handle should be wiped with a damp cloth. The blade is dishwasher-safe.
