Laminated Wood lined Cocktail Shaker
This is a 16 ounce cocktail stainless steel inside, wood outside, cocktail shaker.
The wood for this cocktail shaker comes from leftover hobby board that I used on another project. The wood is definitely pine and was glued at the factory to make a bigger board. Because I don’t like to waste wood, I glued the remnants together to make this piece. I think each segment is about an inch wide and where the factory needed more length than their segment was, they feather cut / interlaced pieces together. You’ll see evidence of this on this cocktail shaker. I can’t necessarily say that there’s anything boring about this as there is always something to pull your eye when looking at it.
While mixing cocktails with this shaker, your hand should not get icy cold like the beverage you want to consume. Wood is heat resistant so only the top and cap will get cold. (The top and cap will need to be held or your beverage will go everywhere while shaking...just a warning from experience.)
The interior is a 16 oz stainless steel liner. The lines on the cap are supposed to be for measuring (I’ve never used that. yet). The slip fit top has a build in strainer. It is nearly 10 inches tall, and it is about 4 inches in diameter.
I finished this with tung oil, lacquer, and enamel. Wash by hand, not in the dishwasher (or in a 3 dip tank).
Ships via USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate.
