Ice cream scoop with hand-turned Black and Gold SpectraPly wood handle. The handle is approximately 6 inches long. The whole scoop is about 9 inches from base to tip. It’s finished with tung oil and a topcoat of durable enamel.
The stainless steel scoop unscrews from the handle for easy cleaning. The handle must be washed by hand. A trip through the dishwasher would ruin the wood.
This is a plywood that I’ve found that comes in a lot of different colors, which allow me to explore different patterns. I think this pattern is called BumbleBee, which makes sense for the bug. To me, it represents Purdue or UW-Milwaukee (my alma matter) — it could also be for Pirates, Steelers, or Saints fans too. (I had to go look those up as I’m not much into Sportzballs)
