The stainless steel scoop unscrews from the handle for easy cleaning. The handle must be washed by hand. A trip through the dishwasher would ruin the wood.
This is a plywood that I’ve found that is incredibly colorful and comes in multiply color combinations. This Red, White, and Blue, is called Americana. The pattern that I gave this handle is, to me, roughly like one of those patriotic buntings you see around the 4th of July.
