This kaleidoscope is turned from a red oak wood that from a branch of a tree from my yard. I shaped this piece to show off both the growth rings and the ray-fleck so it’ll be interesting regardless of which side is facing you.
It is approximately 2 5/8 inches tall. The wood is finished with tung oil and an enamel topcoat. The hardware is chromed for durability.
