Hand-turned Lignum Vitae Wood Kaleidoscope
Kids of all ages find a kaleidoscope intriguing. Hold it up to the light and turn. The shapes and patterns in the view port are never the same!
This kaleidoscope is turned from lignum vitae wood. A naturally dark green wood that is very dense and had a lot of self contained movement in the grain. I’ve turned this in an vaguely egg shape that is about an inch across.
It is approximately 2 5/8 inches tall. The wood is finished with tung oil and an enamel topcoat. The hardware is chromed for durability.
