Unlike a number of the other maple bowls listed here, I don’t remember where I got this bowl. Like a couple other pieces that I’ve made, this one got put into a ‘safe’ area and forgotten about (sorry). It’s been found and grouped with the other bowls I’ve made so I -can’t- lost track of it again.
The tiger-striping on this bowl is intense. I tried to maximize the amount of flair one can get from that pattern and the shape of the bowl. The bowl is a bit taller than a few others without being a ‘vessel'. I would still say this is a great thing to hold keys or be a medium candy dish or desk organization feature.
The bowl is 5.5 inches wide and 2.75 inches tall.
The bowl is finished with a multi-layer process of tung oil, shellac, lacquer, and enamel.
This would be shipped insured and very protected. (duh...like I’d want it to arrive at your side broken…that’d make me very sad because I have a lot of work in this piece and want you to enjoy the final piece as much as I enjoyed making it.)
