Highly figured maple bowl

$130.00

This intermediate sized bowl is made from some really striking figure. The wavy flame patterns in the grain remind me of the aurora, but in wood. The flame patter stretches across the bowl, and I don’t think the pictures truly do the chatoyance justice. Instead of making this bowl just ‘bowl’ shaped, I opted to give the top a bit of a flare so the grain and the figure can play nicely over a larger area. (Honestly, this bowl is VERY attractive in real life… I took great care in using a finishing technique that really helps pull everything to its max.)

The bowl is about 3.25 inches tall and 7.75 inches across (at the top).

The bowl is finished with a multi-layer process of tung oil, shellac, lacquer, and enamel.

This would be shipped insured and very protected. (duh...like I’d want it to arrive at your side broken…that’d make me very sad because I have a lot of work in this piece and want you to enjoy the final piece as much as I enjoyed making it.)
