Elm nut bowl

$95.00

When I saw this small elm wood bowl blank at a local retailer, I had to pick it up. I had not turned any of this wood. I have to say that I really enjoyed turning this piece. The wood was forgiving, very malleable (in the wood sense of the word), an took the shape I intended nicely.

The bowl has a slight pitch and a small foot. The weight of the bowl does not seem to correlate to the size. This is a very light bowl.

The bowl is 5.5 inches wide and 1.875 inches tall.

The bowl is finished with a multi-layer process of tung oil, shellac, lacquer, and enamel.

This would be shipped insured and very protected. (duh...like I’d want it to arrive at your side broken…that’d make me very sad because I have a lot of work in this piece and want you to enjoy the final piece as much as I enjoyed making it.)
