Artist sketch pencil made of Red & White SpectraPly
$49.99
Only 1 available
An artist sketch pencil, hand-turned from a custom made piece of red, and white (natural) dyed, piece of SpectraPly. As we live in the heart of Indiana Hoosier country, many of my clients had asked for something themed for IU. So I had a custom made sheet of Red & White SpectraPly made. The white is a natural clean un-dyed birch. The cross grained nature of this blank definitely catches the light when twisting it in your hand. The pencil's metal fittings have a chromed finish with a convenient clip to attach to a sketch pad when in between drawings. A black 5.6mm lead is installed in the pencil and 4 color enhancing leads are included for more brilliant artwork potential. Lead refills can be purchased from a craft or artist supply store. This pencil would also work with charcoal or chalk inserts of the same size. It is approximately 5 inches long. Press the top of the pencil to release a mechanism from the nib to insert the lead, adjust its length, or slide it back into the pencil when you are finished sketching. When the lead becomes dull, unscrew the cap to use built in sharpener inside.
