Red Oak Wood beverage Tumbler, 20 Ounce Capacity

$70.99

This is a 20 ounce stainless steel lined, red oak wood cladded exterior, beverage container. The lid is slip-fit and clear (so you can see how much of your beverage remains). I also include a reusable metal straw (that is dishwasher safe). The main body is not dishwasher safe— it’s recommended you rinse out the inside in the sink and quickly hand dry the outside. Although this is finished with a multi-layer process, wood and water love each other and will do funny things when left to their own devices.

Who doesn’t like oak? Oak is one of those comforting woods that we all take for granted and expect to be noble and available. This traveler is definitely in that category— along with solid, dense, and commanding of your beverage. I don’t know where I got this particular log from — I can usually find Oak just about everywhere when I want to turn it (and like most woods, I like making stuff from this too). You will notice a few checks (cracks from drying) along one face, they’ve been filled in and won’t be going anywhere . They help give this piece some of its character and visual tension.

This will still be one of those mugs that will be completely different to everyone else’s same colored Stanley or yeti mugs.

As wood is thermally resistant, and the foaming polyurethane glue I use to keep everything in place is also an insulator, this beverage container will do a reasonable job in keeping hot things hot and cold things cold (without all the summertime sweating).

This mug is over 9 inches tall and 4 1/5 inches wide. I try to make my beverage containers available to fit most car cup holders. This is just a touch over 3 inches at the base.

Ships via USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate.
